Travels and Babies

Trip Number 3...

My little sister is having a baby!

So I combined some presentations to include a trip to visit her in Oregon!

My sister Becca and I flew out over Memorial weekend, and then I stayed for 10 days to visit and help out. It was such a great time, and it makes up a bit for not being able to see the actual birth of my little nephew 'Untitled' Opazo. (That is what we're calling him until his Dad Hamlet actually gives the name at birth!)

We ate Oregonaian food (mostly organic stuff), walked the streets of Newberg, went to galleries, got coffee...
And set up my sister's photography for a display at the local coffee shop! Her photos were from their 3 years of service in Kuwait, and showed daily life as well as the colors and beauty of the world there.

We all dressed up in Kuwaiti garb and spent the night chatting with coffee drinkers about Kuwait!

What would a trip to Oregon be without a trip to the coast? It turns out that there are lots of little fun spots along the way too, like Otis Cafe for breakfast! Don't miss it if you get the chance to go out that way!

And one of my favorites after the coast was to get a real original Pronto Pup, which turns out to be the best corn dog I have ever eaten! And I don't even like hot dogs!
I was also thrilled to spend a bit of time with my old Taylor University buddy Marci. It is amazing how much time passes and yet we could still chat as if we were living in the dorms!
